That which appeared so easy and 1n- ot., viting he finds, upon trial, to be beset with difficulties and tasks, rigor- L ous and exacting, constantly increasing in the degree of' difficulty, but sfxj when, through constant effort, the higher trail is reached, the tasks of the I. A- 1- lower seem trivial and ot little nnportance. 1-,ji It was on a beautiful morning early in September, 1926, that one fart, hu11dred and twenty boys and girls, assembling from all parts of' the 7 country had gathered Vllllll their friends and with the upper classmen get on the large and beautiful CEIIIIPLIS of Trinity High School to commence A this iourney. . I 1 . Q:-.2 We were looked upon by the upper classmen as quite green. and no , L.. doubt we were. It was 11ot long until we found that our future educa- ffjv tion at Trinity was to be quite different from that which we had re- R, ceived m the grade schools. During the course ot the school year the r scholastic and athletic activity brought a revelation of the abilities for ,Q which we are justly famous. We made our presence felt in the various ss uw activities of the school life. We thus completed the first part of our niy journey very successfully and were lI1fLlSCtl with Trinity Spirit. Here 'A f 6 we were permitted to pause for a little while befo1'e attempting the more arduous tasks before us. - A September, 1921. Having returned after three months' vacation we 1,514 were glad to renew our friendships and to resume our studies. As we vnu, were now beginning the second part ot our Journey we looked with dis- . , dam upon the Freshmen and we were at liberty to feel as if they did not q measure up to the standards which we had established. This class has X - gone through the year with emphasis placed upon quality but not quan- Lf V tity.
