9 SODALITY OF MARY IMMACULAT E The Sodality of the Immaculate Conception was organized anew on September Sth, 1916, on the Feast of Our l.ady, Queen of ,-Xpostles. Brother James lmhof was moderator of the Freshman- Sophomore Day-Student divisiong Brother Donald Mt-Kee was in charge of the Resident-Student di- vision, and Father Lawrence Monheim, chaplain of the school, was director of the Junior-Senior High School section. :Xt the weekly meetings held on Monday after school the emphasis was always on prayer. discussion activities-with a special view to devotion to Mary, as inspiration toward an apostolic lay life. The approach to the Sacraments, visits to the chapel, Catholic reading, and many other CATHOLIC acts were highly encouraged. Principal activities on a sodality-wide basis were the clothing drive, paper drive, Marianist sub- scription drive, attendance at the Youth Holy Hour at the Cathedral and other student youth rallies. :Xn attempt was made in all divisions to spread the seeds of the lay apostolate, in behalf of Christ, through Our Blessed Mother, Mary Immaculate.
