MARRIAGE CLUB The purpose of the Marriage Chib is to prepare students for the role they will as- sume as Christian wives and mothers. Its objectives are fulfilled by means of discus- sions, movies and guest lecturers. President: Bemadette Amaro, Vice-President: Candy Bott ATHLETIC CLUB The Athletic Club provides a program which furthers the enjoy- ment and understanding of the sports world and promotes the principles of good sportsmanship. It organizes intramural and in- tercollegiate basketball games. During the winter, it takes ad- vantage of the excellent .skiing facilities found in Vermont, by organizing trips to nearby areas. In the spring, free golf lessons are offered to any interested persons. 39

S.N.E.A. The purpose of the Trinity College Chapter of the Student National Education Associa- tion is to develop future teachers, a local as- sociation which offers its members all the opportunities and responsibilities of associate membership in the NEA and the Vermont Education Association and to interest stu- dents in teaching as a career. It acquaints students with the history, ethics, and pro- gram of the organized teaching profession. I.R.C. The International Relations Club aims at developing .student awareness and under- standing of world affairs by sponsoring speakers from various parts of the world. As an affiliate of the Collegiate Council for the United Nations, it initiates support of the purposes and goals of this organization. The club stimulates an interest in people of other countries through contact with exchange students who are in the area. 38

Intercollegiate Council The purpose of the Intercollegiate Council is to promote better under- standing and cooperation among Champlain College, St. Michael ' s College, Trinity College, the University of Vermont, and the Jean Mance School of Nursing. Its field of cooperation includes intellectual, social, and cultural activities that would require or suggest intercolle- giate support, coordination and goodwill. Each member school has a Campus Coordinator who coordinates all campus activities and has charge of the ICC Calender, ICC Student of the Week, and the Coun- cil Directory. 40
