KAREN A. MARTINSON Waterbury, Connecticut B.A. History K.AA.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, N.F.C.C.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, Dramatics 3, 4, I.R.C. 4, Tau Kappa. This fiery red-headed senior who has been a skier for five years without an injury, managed to twist an ankle— leaping a hedge?! Karen, our rebel with or without a cause, is noted for her wildly imaginative schemes. A born politician with a clever wit, she is an asset to any group discussion. I VIRGINIA F. MURPHY Windsor, Connecticut B.A. Sociology K.M.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, N.F.C.C.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, Aristos 1, Class Play 3, Tau Kappa. Ginny is the last of the big collectors— she could supply us with anything from a copy of Lord of the Flies to a paper clip. Not very athletically inclined, Ginny, with all her ski equipment, visited the slopes less this year than last— and last year it was only once! Ginny is adept at practically everything she does, whether it is concerned with the local Red Cross chapter or the sun lamp seminars in Room 1 28. Though she is known as Jewie Murphy back home in Windsor, wherever she is, it is evident that she deserves the title, Miss Organization. 89

BARBARA A. AAcGORTY Hudson, Massachusetts B.A. English K.M.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, N.F.C.C.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, Inter Dorm President 3, Triad 1, 3, 4, Aristos 3, 4, Literary Club 4, Class Secretary 4, Class Play 4, Tau Kappa. An individual whose conscientiousness is reflected in her personality, Barbie prefers the tailored look in blue oxford shirts and jockey caps. This senior enjoys the antics of Harvey Beaver and talking about her favorite subject— her br other Bobby. Her knack for organization overshadows her habit of procrastina- tion and has helped her in her capacity as House President and class secretary. MAUREEN McKEEVER Brandon, Vermont B.S. Business Ed K.M.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, N.F.C.C.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, Sodaltiy 1, 2, 3, 4, Triad 1, 2, 3, Aristos 2, I.R.C. 2, 3, 4, Tau Kappa. Mo ' s subtle humor and wit have amused her class- mates for four years. Though her major is Business, you ' re on the right track if you place magazines, cards, and knitting as her minor interests. Free mo- ments Mo spends in the library trying to increase her speed in shorthand. She is looking for an opening for a Business major who doesn ' t want to teach but wants summers off. Her perseverance should be a great help in this endeavor. 88

JANE E. POWELL AAassapequa, New York B.A. Sociology K.M.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, N.F.C.C.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, Athletics 1, 2, 4, Secretary 2, Aristos 2, 3, 4, Literary Club 3, Triad 3, Tau Kappa. The girl with the golden touch and the moonbeam blonde hair has hidden talent in the field of imper- sonation. No kiddin ' around ' Jane is a true con- noisseur of good humor. Jane ' s fame as a neat dresser almost equals her infamy as a lover of cat n aps. A member of Mr. Bird ' s fan club, Jane is one of T.C. ' s aspiring social workers. To Jane, happiness is a yellow jeep in the summertime. So to the girl with the rabbit feet, best of luck! DIANA A. RICKER B.A. English K.M.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, N.F.C.C.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, Sodality 1, Tau Kappa. For three years Deedee was one of those lucky girls who enjoyed three home-Cooked meals a day; but now all that is changed, and Dee cooks ' em her- self, since those wedding bells chimed! We see all too little of her, for she has learned to make like a Thunderbolt in her gold Volkswagen. Beneath the dreamy-eyed, reserved exterior is a real friend who is always there when you need her. From now on. Thanksgiving will be celebrated in at least one house- hold as more than a national holiday! 90
