M .J 1 1 14-2 X Time continues on its fleeting path as it washes new and unique experi- ences upon the shores of time . . . leaving them there whereby future genera- tions may learn and grow. We cannot change nor can we relive our achieve- ments and disappointments, sorrows and joys . . . but we can call to our re- membrance those events which have made this year an exceptional one. Thus in the 1967 Beacon we have endeavored to capture for you the mood, enthusi- asm, and spirit of Trinity College. This has truly been a wonderful year and we owe it all to our Lord and Sav- iourjesus Christ. He is the incentive and stimulus behind our publishing of this book and more important behind the lives of the students who shall ap- pear on the following pages. We pray that as you turn from page to page you may come to know Him just a little better, and in turn you may have a greater desire to make Him known. - Your Co-Editors, ew Courtesy of: THE CI.EARKXfA'lQER SUN Clearwater, Florida Qeogcazifon We the class of 1967 wish to dedicate the Beacon to a servant of God who has been faithful in life and service to the Master since his childhood. Many lives have been touched and influenced by his meek and humble Christ- like spirit throughout these yearsj God has used him to reach numerous souls from vari- ous walks of life in his unique ministry of building up local congregations in areas where no visible fundamental work was constituted. just as important has been his undying loyalty to Trinity College through these many years of its ministry to the lives of young people. Because of this beloved servant's dedication and devo- tion, anyone who has been privileged to sit under his teaching has left the school with his life much more en- riched. His faithfulness to God in service and his fellow- ship with man in life have truly been a special blessing to all who have known him. Therefore it is an honor and our privilege to dedicate the 1967 Beacon to Dr. john Minder. 1 'diff 7 N Gia 7, ATE-. 3 -1 tx .1 sim-sPE4Lf4Zi-1 PRESIDENT'S LIST 1965-66 Mary jane Abbott Bruce Ayres Peggy Bragg f Gary C. DR. W. T. WATSON - President and Founder A MESSAGE FROM-OUR BELOVED PRESIDENT Dear Class of '67: Before you is an open door, and what a door! You are a privileged company. You have a heart and mind prepa- ration for the work ahead. Never did a class face greater opportunities than are yours. As they come seize them and use them. You are not alone as you go into His blessed service. Your constant Companion He will ever be. When the load is heavy, the night dark, friends may be few . . . a wonderful time to recognize His presence. You haveihelped to preserve at Trinity that something, which is priceless, yet words cannot fully explain it . . . the Trinity spirit. Dr. Billy Graham, your fellow alumnus, while at Trinity on the recent visit, in recog- nition of his 25 th Silver Anniversary of graduating from this school, said, I am pleased to find at Trinity the same spirit that was here when I graduated 25 years agof' In the days ahead may you continue to have a deep sense of appreciation for your Alma Mater. Always be grateful for your faithful instructors and the friends of Trinity who by their praying and giving have helped to make this work possible for the past 35 years. The future of Trinity will be affected by what you are and what you do. God bless and keep you. Let's meet often at the Throne of Grace. Yours for Youth, W. T. We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament as verbally inspired by God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. 2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 3. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. 4 . We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God. 5. We believe that the Lordjesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all that believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. 6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate. 7. We believe in that blessed hope, the personal, pre-millenial and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 8. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting felicity of the saved and the everlasting conscious suffering of the lost. Dr. Oliver Williams Dr. john Minder Dr. E.
