J.V. Cheerleaders This past year was the beginning of a new tradition at Trinity. J.V. Cheerleading. Our squad enjoyed learn- ing to work together and developing friendships be- tween freshmen and sophomore girls. We had summer practices that resulted in swimming parties and slumber parties. During the school year we had weekly practices in order to prepare for the football and basketball games. During these practices, we never perfected our pyramids, but we did perfect talking and having fun. I really enjoyed being a squad leader for such a fun group of girls. At the beginning of the year our squad members didn’t know each other well. By working together dur- ing the year, we became better friends. Though we cheered in the hot sun and cold rain, we had so much fun. We all learned a lot this year about cheerleading and building relationships. Thanks for being a great squad. Dawn Brothers First Row: Theresa Castro. Jennifer Humphries, Renee Noonan. Dawn Brothers, Erin Jennings. Second Row: Mary Holliday, Kristin Cecil. First Row: Danelle Rich. Second Row: Kellie Weaver. Kim French, Penny Pierce. Brenda Crownrich, Dana Dahlen. Third Row: Emily Whitman. Amber Booth. Gia Valesano. This year in J.V. Cheerleading our squad became very close. We learned a lot about working together as a group and having fun while doing it. We had some crazy workouts, with lots of hart! work and some bruises from falling off pyramids. Act like you want to be here and not like someone is making you. Thanks for your support: you are a terrific squad! Emily Whitman

First Row: Elizabeth Beidel. Charisse Griffin. Leslie Cotter. Sharon Metz Second Row: Jenny Mize, Bren Holman. Melissa Prange. Our squad worked well together, developed friendships, and had fun! At one of the football games, the rain poured down the whole time and we were soaking wet. We kept our spirits up and led cheers even though the stands were empty and we were cheering by ourselves. Our season was successful, and we enjoyed the experience immensely. Emily Dansby Jill Cox Jenny Mize Leslie Cotter First Row: Courtney Kuncl. Laura Kopitke. Tricia Kinkaid, Amy Smith. Emily Steele Second Row: Leslie Hinckley. Cheerleading was a blast this year, as well as a meaningful ex- perience which none of us will ever forget. As we became better friends, we somehow overcame our embarrassment as first year cheerleaders. We love each and every one on our squad, and though we might not have been the best, we sure came close! Though our squad had some tough times this year, by working together we made it through. We built some lasting friendships and some great pyramids. Cheerleading is a lot of hard work, but we wouldn't trade the memories for anything. Our football team had a winning record, and it is always fun cheering for a winning team.
