The cheerleaders started the season with a special awar from camp. We received the Squad of Excellence Award. W continued to work hard throughout the year making the foo ball and basketball seasons the best ever. We also played a important role in Homecoming '85 in that we raised th school spirit. We would like to thank the drill team for the: support at the football games and especially the spirit corp for their undying spirit. We really enjoyed cheering for ou Trojans. Randy McCabe, Coach Steve Neumeisler The Overcoming Team These Jr. High boys overcame some really crucial injuries early in the season to become the best all-around private school track team of the Metroplex west of Mes- quite. Despite losing six different key 8th graders, this team ended the season beating every team but one. Placing se- cond at Creenhill Invita- tional and St. Marks were definitely highlights of the season. Top point get- ters Kevin Forman and Michael Castro led the team. Breaking the 1600 meter relay record por- trayed the many outstan- ding performances the team had throughout the year. District Champs The junior high girls track team had an excep- tional season. They plac- ed first in every meet and also took first in district. The 400. 800, and mile relay teams also placed first in every meet. The 800 relay team set a new record at the Tom Landry Meet, and Patti Harding broke the 3200 meter run record at the Landry meet. The girls worked well together as a team and were a great en- couragement to each other. They could not have had a better season. Congratulations, girls! Coach Diane Harmon 173
