TCA on the Court This year's junior high tennis teams fared very well. The guys’ team defeated Greenhill. ESI), and Cister- cian twice: their only losses were to St. Marks. Similarly, the girls defeated Greenhill and ESD. while losing to Hockaday two times. While the strength of both teams was in its eighth grade players, a number of younger players should make good contributions to next year's team. Coach Mike Beidel First row: Hunter Miller. Trojan Aces The 1986 Varsity Tennis team consisted of 18 players who bonded together develop- ing a team that once again showed dominance In our district. The competition with area public and private schools paid off greatly as a warm up for district. The team represented Trinity well with the boys finishing first and the girls improving last year's finish with second place. The accomplishments at district helped boost the team in self-confidence as well as provide competitive play. The team traveled to Waco for the State Tournament in hopes of defending last year's Championship. The results of the State Tournament found Trinity with a 13 to 13 tie. sharing the Championship with the Vanguard School. Tho Co-Championship was assured when one of our doubles team made it to the quarter finals and another to the semi-finals. The team also supported our ®2 singles player to the semi-finals round and was defeated by the State Champion. I was impressed with this year's team for their willingness to put the team first before themselves. Their hard work and devotion enabled the to defend their title as ''Champions.” The boys finished with a Conference record of 5-0 and a soason record of 11-1. Tho grils ended with a conference record of 3-1-1 and a season record of 7-3-1. jgg Coach Martha Parker Another smashing serve by Eddie.

Bart French Boys Tracksters The 1986 Varsity Boys track team was an exciting one to watch. The team had been a question mark due to the number of quality athletes who had graduated the year before. There were 23 athletes who fill- ed out the roster and each of them found some way to make a significant contribution to the team effort. The entire year was a concen- trated effort to qualify for state competition and finish as high as possible in the district meet; the Trojans were runners-up at district. In the state meet the team finished 4th out of 12 teams. The significant part of the year was our team’s ver- satility. When one person was unable to compete, another prepared athlete was ready to fill in for the team. So many ac- complishments were witnessed this year that space does not allow for listing. As a coach. I feel it was a most fulfilling year. Our future looks bright as many underclassmen did quite well. Thank you for a tremendous season. 170 Coach Bob King Mo Sheats takes the lead.
