Trojan Aces The 1986 Varsity Tennis team consisted of 18 players who bonded together develop- ing a team that once again showed dominance In our district. The competition with area public and private schools paid off greatly as a warm up for district. The team represented Trinity well with the boys finishing first and the girls improving last year's finish with second place. The accomplishments at district helped boost the team in self-confidence as well as provide competitive play. The team traveled to Waco for the State Tournament in hopes of defending last year's Championship. The results of the State Tournament found Trinity with a 13 to 13 tie. sharing the Championship with the Vanguard School. Tho Co-Championship was assured when one of our doubles team made it to the quarter finals and another to the semi-finals. The team also supported our ®2 singles player to the semi-finals round and was defeated by the State Champion. I was impressed with this year's team for their willingness to put the team first before themselves. Their hard work and devotion enabled the to defend their title as ''Champions.” The boys finished with a Conference record of 5-0 and a soason record of 11-1. Tho grils ended with a conference record of 3-1-1 and a season record of 7-3-1. jgg Coach Martha Parker Another smashing serve by Eddie.

Similarly, the girls defeated Greenhill and ESD. while losing to Hockaday two times. While the strength of both teams was in its eighth grade players, a number of younger players should make good contributions to next year's team. Coach Mike Beidel First row: Hunter Miller.
