The Trojans gained experience as the season progressed, finding themselves tied for second place in TAPS District 1. The members of the team recognized God’s power and control in allowing them to win the coin toss which placed them in the TAPS regional play-offs for the fourth straight year. The team won the first-round game over Hyde Park of Austin, but were defeated in the regional finals by Garland Christian. A highlight of the season was the over- time victory over Ft. Worth Christian. The Trojans desired to honor God in their play throughout the season by using Matthew 5:16, “Let your light (witness) shine before men (teammates, opponents, officials, spectators) in such a way that they may see your good works (sportsmanship, hustle, desire, team unity) and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” TEAM HONORS TCA tied for second in TAPS District 1.
