Five years ago Mr. Botleman became the General Manager of the Trinidad pro- duction of this greatest of all shows. Since then he has won sincere commenda- tion for his deep insight into the special problems involved, for his genuine in- terest in the affairs of the community, and for his loyal support of the young people whose training he supervises. In him they have found a friend, one who understands them and wishes them well. The that has been offered them through his efforts. y are sincerely grateful for all THE IQEH ERAL NAHAEER me DIREIITHR Throughout the four years in which the graduates of '48 have been acquiring the knowledge and skills which will enable them to give a creditable performance in the wider arena of world affairs, Mr. Mertz has given to every phase of their training a wise and generous assistance without which their interest and ac- complishment would have been greatly lessened. For his devotion to their welfare and success he has won deep and lasting gratitude from all those who now give up to other and younger performers the places they have so long held on the big show'x program. ,ff

In Trinidad both scholastic and recreational needs are supplied by an ever-ex- panding program of activity in which every student may find both interest and profit. To those who have made these advantages available-the members of the Board of Education: and to those entrusted with the carrying out of this varied and difficult program-the faculty of T. H. S.-the Class ol '48 extends its most sincere thanks. 'A x
