WE DEDICATE We dedicate the 1957 Modulus to Mrs. Lucy Emerson, Director of News Service for Tri- State College. Mrs. Emerson is best known to most students on the campus because of her work with the campus publications, the Tri-Angle and the Modulus. She is constantly being asked for advice or information in connection with these activities, and although she is an extremely busy member of the college staff, she is never too busy to provide the answers. We, the members of the 1957 Modulus staff, are richer for having known and worked with her, and will always remember her when think¬ ing back on our college days. 3

FOREWORD It is with a great deal of pleasure that I, in behalf of the Modulus staff, present the 1957 edition of the MODULUS of Tri-State Col¬ lege. An effort has been made to introduce a new look incorporat¬ ing fresh ideas in layout and styling both in the contents and the cover. It is our hope that this pictorial review of the year ' s activi¬ ties will give you much pleasure now and in years to come.
