PRESID T'S MESSAGE MEMBERS OF THE 1950-S1 GRADUATING CLASSES! Another academic year has passed. With its passing you have achieved freedom from the rigors of your curriculum and you rejoice in your new found and long awaited status as a graduate. You eagerly await the test of your mettle, confident in your purpose and competency. That is as it should be and you are to be congratulated. But not all things are as they should be. Our every waking moment is permeated with doubt, confusion, uncertainty, depression. XVorse than those, we are sometimes fraught with loss of faith, lack of confidence and the arising of distrust. It is not the province of this message to enumerate the causes. It should suihce to state that these things result from the acts of man. They are the end and hoped for product of evil and and designing minds. This is not something new. The pages of history of this nation are filled with the record of similar challenges to the integrity of American patriots. All of us should take heart in the fact that nowhere in these same pages can be found any record of defeat of our American ideals and principals. It is your responsibilty as well as mine that our generation stamp out these evil influences. This is not an original thought.
