'7fae pain! Sfzap. The Tri-State College Printing Shop was organized in 1937 at which time the school purchased one 7x11 Chandler-Price hand-fed Platen Press and a few fonts of foundry type. The next year Roy C. Bodie was placed in charge of the shop. Since that time the undertaking has grown into a modern printing shop which includes an automatic Miehle Vertical Press, two Platen Presses Q7x11 and 10x1Sj, one offset press, one automatic power cutter, an automatic stitcher and an automatic 17x22 Baum folder. In the spring of 1948 the original one room was expanded to cover the entire west half of the Administration building's first floor. The extra space and modern equip- ment enables the College to do nearly all of its printing. It also provides steady em- ployment for an experienced printer and three assistants as well as part-time work for a number of college students. Besides printing, the shop personnel has charge of the alumni file, directs student housing, and acts in an advisory capacity for student publications. PRINT SHOP SCENES Roy C.
