green 6. nnnnnl stef presents tlzeir tcnclzer nf the gear mr. theron byrd mr. theron byrd, our honoree, came to tech in the fall of 7948. he has taught government and history here for the past twenty-five years. in the years he has been here, mr. byrd has been a willing sponsor wher- ever needed he has been senior spon- sor and has helped with many other extracurricular activities, not only has he served the students, but he has also served the faculty as classroom teach- er representative. at present mr. byrd is student council sponsor and head of the history department. mr. byrd's work with youth does not stop at the end of the school day. he can be found almost any evening vvorking with the youth of the poly methodist church or driving a bus for some youth group. he has also been a scout leader. we at trimble tech are very proud to have had such an inspirational in- structor. everybody is a more beauti- ful person for having had mr. theron byrd for a teacher.
