Mr. Green B. Trimble Has Played an Integr Technical, High School is being referred To as The school' wiTh The new look. There are many facTors and a score of dedicaTed people responsible for This, buT.The- leader in The field is Green B. Trimble, DirecTor,of VocaTional EducaTion for ForT WorTh Public Schools. Mr. Trimble became Technical's firsT principal in T925. There was To follow' forTy years of hard work accompanied by many frusTraTions and many more Triumphs. IT is impossible To separaTe The sTory of 'Technical's 'growTh from The sTory of Mr. Trimble's life, for They are The same. r WhaT was once. a Trade school for boys only, housed .inanold building .on Texas STreeT, is, To- day, a comprehensive Technical high school wiTh 2400 boys and girls enrolled in TwenTy-Two voca- Tional and Technical courses. The planT aT presenT occupies four blocks, buT iT is being expanded un- der a building program which is To begin This year. This vasT program, which 'will QcosT over a million dollars, has long been a dreamof Mr. Trimble's. Therefore, iT is mosT fiTTing he parTicipaTe in iTs planning. I In AugusT, I965, Mr. Trimble lefT his posiTion as Principal of Technical High School in order To de- voTe all of his Time To being DirecTor of VocaTional EducaTion. When The Time came To move his office from Technical To The AdminisTraTion Building, Mr. Trimble requesTed ThaT he be allowed To work from an office in The same building where he had spenT so many years. His reason: I wanT To be able To walk Through The halls and see The familiar faces of Those I've worked wiTh so long. I wanT To see The sTudenTs as I've seen Them in The pasT. The requesT was granTed. WhaT Mr. Trimble sees, as heuwalks Through The halls of The school wiTh The new look, you will see as you Turn The pages of This T966 annual. 4

Mr. A. B. 0'Connor Takes Mr. Albert 0'Connor Over us Principal Mr. O'Connor's is not a new face to Technical. His personality and drive have been a vital part in the growth of Technical from the time before he became principal. Organized, and with a definite goal, he has moved the faculty, students, and administrators ahead to bigger and better things. He is iust about the busiest man in the world, an active member of the community and church. How he ever finds time to do all his iobs so well would be a mystery to any who do not know him. For those who do, his boundless en- ergy is the reason for his great success as prin- cipal! Constantly in search of the newest and best for Technical, he keeps pace with the student body and prepares for tomorrow. Principal of Technical High School MR. G. B.
