Adding color and splendor to the Green Wave Band, the drum major and maiorettes entertain during half time and at pep rallies. The lasting impression made by the band is dependent upon its leaders. This year's Drum Maior stepped out so smartly as he led the band in its marching routines that everyone felt very proud. The Maiorettes work hard to learn new twirling routines. Theirs is a difficult performance because they must work as one. No band could function in an efficient manner without good of- ficers to keep it well organized. A girl and a boy are rewarded each year for beingthe most con- genial and adding so much to the general morale of all. They serve as sweetheart and favorite until two more are elected the following year.
