Mr. A. B. 0'Connor Takes Mr. Albert 0'Connor Over us Principal Mr. O'Connor's is not a new face to Technical. His personality and drive have been a vital part in the growth of Technical from the time before he became principal. Organized, and with a definite goal, he has moved the faculty, students, and administrators ahead to bigger and better things. He is iust about the busiest man in the world, an active member of the community and church. How he ever finds time to do all his iobs so well would be a mystery to any who do not know him. For those who do, his boundless en- ergy is the reason for his great success as prin- cipal! Constantly in search of the newest and best for Technical, he keeps pace with the student body and prepares for tomorrow. Principal of Technical High School MR. G. B. TRIMBLE, left, takes advantage of a quiet moment at football breakfast to discuss the opening of school with his successor, Mr. A. B, O'Connor, right. Mrs. Shirlie Murphy is in background. 6

MR. MIKE PALMER'S DESK gmay look as if he'll never get to the bottom of it, but everyone is convinced that he works mir- acles in his quiet way. Mr. W. C. Pate Co-Ordinator of Liaison and Placement Training students in specialized skills would not be- very practical if they could not find jobs to use the skills. Mr. W. C. Pate fills this most important need. In the year since he began as iob co-ordinator, he has placed approximately 300 students in part time iobs. This work of Mr. Pate-'s is iust another way in which Technical High School has taken on a new look. ' The girls at Tech feel that they are the luckiest in the world to have Miss Lucy McRoberts as Dean. She is always the same calm person regardless of the reason for an inter- view. lt is so important for a teen-age girl to feel that someone has really listened to her, and as she leaves Miss McRoberts' office, she knows that someone has. Teachers and students alike have found Mr. Mike Palmer so available, when he is needed to help solve problems whether large or small, that it is difficult to remember that this is his first year as First Vice-Principal. He worked out a revised handbook for teachers before school opened in September. Mr. Mike Palmer First Vice-Principal Miss Lucy McRoberts Dean of Girls
