Possessed by a Desire TCHS was ours before we were a part of her. She was our school more than one hundred years Before we were her students. She was ours In Milton, in Bedford, in all of Trimble County. Though still unborn, we were yet possessing An opportunity and possessed by a desire, We knew not, for knowledge. This longing for achievement we inherited from Our parents, our grandparents, our great-grandparents. Their deeds of concern were their gifts of time, Talent, and yea, taxes To build that which would grow, but slowly. These Things We've raised a flag pole at the school, Unfurled Old Glory to the sky, And it's a rippling touch of charm That cheers the students strolling by. Red, white, and blue--the silken strands-- Bespeak our country's glorious past, They tell of brave souls, tried and true, Who found a nation that would last. 3 Do We Cherish We've made a yearbook at the school, Compiled historic days that flew, We've captured moments e'er so dear By pix and pen and caption true.
