SU.Ls, COACH PERDUE- FOOTBALL The 1939 Wildcats of Trigg County High in their second year of football and their first as a West Kentucky Conference member acquited themselves with honor. Although winning only two games of ten played they proved no easy mark for any team and at the close of the season their record showed the greatest margin of defeat to be two touchdowns and that to Mayfield 13fO the eventual Conference winner. In scoring 73 points against 87 for the opponents in ten games the Wildcats showed an almost impregnable defense while their offense was proven to be weak probably due to lack of experience. However with ten returning lettermen and a wealth of promising material coming up from the B squad prospects look bright for a winner next fall. I Lost to the squad of '40 will be the following graduating seniors' each of whom has given a good account of himself in every game played. We will miss you but we will never forget' you. john D. Minton,.Aubrey WoodruH:, R. H. Upton, john Myers, Thomas Myers, Trimble Iviajor, and Layton Tuggle. Page F orly-six i .11 i
