' j SENIOR CLASS HISTORY It was in 1936, that a freshman class embarked on many ships for a cruise on the sea of knowledge. Fiftyf eight of these freshmen were destined to meet on the new ship, T. C. H. in 1937 as sophomores. After, the ship had set sail a few miles the passengers got into the swing of its life, they organized clubs and selected their captain and nrst matef They also participated in many performances perhaps the most important being the sophomore play, Little Miss Hitch Hiker. During their freshman and sophomore years they had accomplished some of the most difiicult tasks and had mastered some of their hardest subjects. In'1938 when the class returned as first class passengers they were pleased to see the ship more beautiful with many new passengers. This was the year that the fun and the work really began. The passengers succeeded in making their ship' the best that had ever sailed the seven seas. More activities were enjoyed. A band and a football team were organized with members of the junior class taking important parts in each. The junior play was a wonderful performance and the' JuniorfSenior Banquet clirnaxed the events of the entire year. With the strains of Anchors Aweigh the seniors started their final dash for their home port. They began the year with more responsibility realizing that they were weighing their anchors for life. Ship life was enjoyed all the more. More and more things were accomplished. Prizes and trophies were won, showing that the ship was becoming famous. Near the end of the year the senior play, Three Taps at Twelve, was presented and the junior class entertained them with a lovely banquet. When the senior class of 1940 anchored safely on shore, they numbered seventyfone passengers all of whom had great ideas for themselves. Many planned to cruise further on the sea of knowledge stopping at ports where they had failed to venture before and we are sure that everyone will wish them Bon Voyage. FRANCES LoNc Page Nineteen
