Zkmwmwz Recognized by his versatility, his yardstick, and his extra credit, C. C. Kraus exhibits a fathomless knowledge of America and its his- tory and, at the same time, upholds high standards of scholastic achievement. For 13 of his 31 years as a secondary school teacher, Mr. Kraus has been a member of Triadelphia High School's faculty. Re- gardless of present-day commitments, he in- variably finds time to assume an extra task or to lighten another's load. Students in American history revel in his ability to shed light on the dark panels of the past, his intelligent comprehension of the present, and his realistic predictions of the future. Urging and aiding Little Reds to grasp the significance of their surroundings and to take advantage of their opportunities, Mr. Kraus is as adept in his analysis of world-shattering events as he is in his duties of volunteer golf coach. To honor such an outstanding personage, the staff of The 1957 Triad dedicates this volume to a genius in the classroom, a spirited citizen in the community, and a man among men. C C. C. KRAUS 1957 Mr. Kraus leafs tllrough The Triad and latches on to focal points of interest, re- lccting an uncanny ability of his that often confronts anxious students in American history at test time. Defying the elements, enthusiastic Oak Park spectators view Tridel's gridders in au action- paeked thriller against iVarwood's Vikings. The Little Reds emerged victorious to the tune of 2 to 0. FOREWORD History isn't evolved to ignoreg memo- ries aren't made to forget. Now a misty haze on the frontier, the future promises reliections of the first hesitant blazers of trails, some masteredg others deserted. Four years of attending classes, doing homework, and enjoying extra-curricular activities have aided in marking the paths of new territories and in scouting the way for future memories. As history books portray America's rich heritage, may The 1957 Triad mirror the reflections and renew the notches of memo- rable high school years. -SUSAN EICHELKRAUT Editor ..C7C7n,C-'flT':fYZ!1C,L1' 'KZ'3':1fJCCJf3l'.7?f lYi 'fL-xii?
