ROBERT H. PORTER Dedication Without the knowledge of Advisor Rohert H. Porter. the staff of The 1956 Triad has taken the privilege of recognizing an inspirational individual. a true representatixe ot the teaching profession. and a man among men. Throughout his ll years as a member of the Triadelphia faculty. Nlr. Porter has given unspar- ingly of his time and ahility. Proficient with puns. quick to laugh. he has endeared himself to the hearts of Triad lads and lassies.. His snnorous xoice often resounds through the halls. as he injects priceless humor into his classroom sessions. Patience is his xirtue. whether extracting sulijects and xerlws from freshmen or suspended interest features trom journalists. Yet the name Nlr. Porter has hecome a hy-nord at Tridel. mainly through his ellorts with school puhlications. Meeting headlines anii deadlines with startling constancy. this untiring instructor is a familiar figure to l.ittle Reds as he hustles about with pencil. proof. and copy. or horrous a sports jacket for a forgetful underclassman preparing to have his picture taken. Under his capahle guidance. 'lihe Triadelphian has copped eight Medalist ratings in national competition. This memher of the fourth estate commands th: respect of all who come in contact with him. His sincere interest in the welfare of others. his perse- verence. and his alert outlook have marked him as an outstanding personality. To gvnii.
