FOREWORD Time marches on. And another year at Triadelphia comes to a successful close. Perhaps you are reading this in 1946, or maybe you are reading it in 1966. lt does not matter, for we have both dates in mind-and others, too. lf the things we did together are worth remembering, you, then, will appreciate this book. And in future years its pages, depicting Triadelphia around the clock, will rekindle memories-both good and bad- in the hearts and minds of all who were a part of THS in 1945-1946.

DEDICATION Wherever Triads meet, in the course of their conversation, one will ask, . . . and Mr. Giffin? How is he? For the name of J. V. Giffin has become synonymous with the name of Triadelphia High School. As a teacher, he has led his students to think of the spectacle of life, as a man, he has won the love and respect of pupils, teachers, and parents. The staff of The 1946 Triad deems it an honor and a privilege to dedicate this year- book to Mr. Giffin, living exponent of the good life, as a testimonial of his gentle- manly spirit, his faithful service, and his sincere loyalty.
