Our class conslsted of 101 students who were dlvlded 1nto three sectlons 9 A advls er Mrs Huntzlnger 9 B adv1serMr Schleg el and 9 C advlser Mlss Fenstermacher The elght puplls who came from Hubley to J01Il us ln the1r senlor year were under the supervlslon of Mxss Wenrlch ln thelr fresh men year The flrst few weeks of school we were all busy gettmg acqualnted wlth new frlends and electmg sectlon offlcers We lmmedlately started taklng class dues IH order to fmance our senlor trlp Yes we were all on our way OPHOMORES MINUTES Tlme marches on and feelmg less 1nfer1or we proudly stepped 1nto our sophomore shoes Under the dlrec tlon of Mrs Blanksby Mr Fox and Mr d1v1dual sectlons The Hubley puplls under Mlss Walters also elected offlcers We con tlnued collectlng class dues and also spon sored our flrst skatlng party whxch proved to be hlghly successful Among many mem orable occasions was the seml annual Gym Exhlbltlon m wh1ch many members of the class took part The students from Hubley partlclpated ln the1r annual May Day Fes tlval Smce we as sophomores were ellg lble to Jom the var1ous clubs many d1d so Thus we said adleu to our second year 1n hlgh school JUNIORS HOURS Tlme IS fleetlng and once agam we entered hlgh school feellng more aggresslve and enthus1ast1c than ever be fore Soon after school fbegan we elected class offlcers The Junlor offlcers of Heglns Hlgh were presldent R1ta Saltzer vlce presldent Ted Maurer secretary Bonme Schmmkey and treasurer Drusxlla Reed whlle ln Hubley these offlcers were elected presldent Walter Umholtz v1ce presldent Karl Carl secretary and treasurer Eleanor Paul By mld November we proudly dlsplay ed our class rmgs of various settmgs In ad d1t1on to two very successful Jello drnes, we held skatlng partles and a Hallowe en sock hop whxch not only promoted our flnanclal purposes but also offered much pleasure and enjoyment The students from Hubley pre sented the play Old Crusty Takes to the A1r The operetta The Count and the Co- ed was tendered by the I-Ieglns Jumors As our Jumor year drew to a close we sold for our flnal project autograph dogs and school Jackets Slnce black and pmk were selected as class colors we were prlvxleged to have the jackets ln these colors Red and whxte Jackets were sold to the other grades Reallzlng that the semors would soon be leavlng us we honored them at the Jumor Senlor Prom We chose as our theme Moonllght and Roses Hubley bade good bye to thelr semors lby holdmg the Jumor Semor Banquet SEN IORS BIG WHEELS The sand IS rapldly drlftlng through the hour glass and now we are now ln our last phase of our school years As our flrst project we elected class offlcers They were presldent Rlta Saltzer V106 presldent Chrlstma Brosxus secretary Vle welcomed elght new members to the senlor class from Hubley because of the consolldatlon of schools and one member from Northumberland By thls tlme the Yearbook Commxttee had been selected and was well on 1ts way Our class play The Nlght of January Slxteenth was a tremen dous success under the supervlslon of Mlss Knohr In order to boost our treasury we sponsored skatlng partles held a Hallowe en dance sold refreshments at the basketball games and held the annual Chrlstmas dance Agaln many members took part 1n the gym exh1b1t1on As always the Junlor Senlor Prom whlch the Junlors sponsored was the hlghllght of the year Baccalaureate servrces Commencement and our senlor trlp end our school days whlch we have enjoyed at Trl Valley Sadness hovers over all of us but we know that a great future Iles ahead for the class of 56 ANN ETTE PAUL CHARLES STEGER DONALD MILLER JOAN CARL sa H ' ' . . . . - , H I Y . 1 . . . - , H H . - - H' ' . - . . l . . . . n Q . , , I , ' , : ' 1 ' . . - , 3 - .,. - . - , 9 . - , . - . . . 0 , . .
