J e anne Doyle Selections by the junior chorus Recessional The most outstanding and elaborate ex ent of the year is the Junior-Senior Prom. Choosing 'cMoonlight and Roses as their theme, the juniors bade the seniors a fond farewell. The gymnasium was decorated with many roses of all kinds, and a large moon in the center of the gymnasium gave a dreamy effect. i'Red McCar- thy supplied the music for the evening. The affair was under the direction of Mrs. Blanksby. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of the king and queen, whose identities were kept secret until the night of the prom. The king and queen were selected by popular vote of the entire student body. Attending the queen were the lady- in waiting and two senior attendants. Attending the king were three senior attendants. The 9th, 10th and 11th grades chose two girls to serve as their representatives in the court. A girl and boy were selected from the 7th grade to serve as crown-Sbearers. As always the entire public was invited to the dance, and again an interested crowd attended this long-awaited-for event.
