Jones Superintendent-Director Peter H. Rickard Principal JOHN A. BECC1A, Jr. Business Manager John M. Jones Superintendent-Director To the Class of 1989 Congratulations. You have successfully completed one of life's true passages - a twelve year odyssey from childhood to adulthood. The joy of graduation is, however, accompanied by the responsibilities of adulthood. We, your teachers, have done our best to arm you with the skills and work ethics you will need to succeed in your adult life. It is now up to you to apply your knowledge for the benefit of yourself, your family, and your society. For although you have needed us and your parents for the past years, it is we who now need you to work with us and lead us into the twenty-first century. It is your knowledge and beliefs that will form the basis of the society you, we, and your children will live in for the decades to come. I hope Tri-County has provided you the bedrock upon which your adult future can be successfully built. So, my message to you is that you accept your adult responsibilities confidently and enthusiastically. The excitement and joy which accompanies graduation can be experienced throughout your adult life if you remember that learning never ends. It is, rather, a process to be respected and enjoyed throughout your adult My congratulations and best wishes go with you. Thank you for having been with us at Tri-County. John M. Jones Superintendent-Director I m TRI- COUNTY REGIONAL VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL 147 POND STREET, FRANKLIN, MASSACHUSETTS 02038 John M. Jones Superintendent-Director Peter H. Rickard Principal JOHN A. BECCIA, Jr. Businesss Manager To The Class of 1989: As you look back at your years at Tri-County 1 expect that you will feel mixed emotions. Per many of you, your classroom years are over and you're embarking on a career. Graduation therefore marks an ending, but also a beginning. 1 hope that this ending is not your final contact with Tri-County. Previous graduates have continued their contact with the school in a number of different ways. Many former students participate in our evening school program to upgrade existing abilities and to learn new skills. Other graduates have returned to Tri-County to teach in the day program and evening school, while others return to our guidance office for assistance in completing college applications and for information about college programs. Still others have returned here to hire our graduates, a high quality source of employees. Our teachers have, on several occasions, recommended former students to serve on our program advisory committees, to meet with our teachers and to keep our programs and offerings current with industry's needs. No matter what reason may bring you back to Tri-County, I hope that we can count on you as being a supporter of our school. You are the future voters in our district and we will have to count on your support in the years to come. bn is a happy time for you. Remember a few years later, we thought we were divine - we teased the first grade babies, at the ripe old age of nine. Remember back in sixth grade, we looked at him with a sigh, and dreamed of all the coming days, in the ripe new junior high. Now it’s eons later . as graduation day draws near, we think of bitter sweet memories and remember yesteryear. Remember the hello’s and laughter, talking over all our fears, reflect on learning and sharing before goodbye’s and tears. Lea Albee 'WA'TCXOW ‘WCXRJL'Dl ' Mere I sit and u rite this poem, Ms fling was in bed at home, 'Education is a need today, If you want a good job, And higher pay. 'But schoot is such a royal pain, 'To just sit all day and use your brain, It is my last year of schooling, though, Soon out into the world l shall go, And a careful s tep it shall be; I hope the world is ready for me III We're the class of '89, and oh, yes, we're mighty fine. We've had our ups and downs, and seen many smiles and frowns. We've loved and also lost, and taken chances at any cost. Together we've had four great years, and at graduation there will be many shed tears. Samantha L. Goodwin SURVIVORS Our school is called Tri-County, This is our senior year. We’ve all had our share of sorrow As well as our share of cheer. I remember being a freshman, The years flew by so fast. Now I am a senior. I never thought I could last! Back then; there were so many of us. We lost some on the way. There aren’t too many left of us; I thought I’d never see the day. I made a lot of friends here, And I hope everyone stays in touch. There are some I will never see again. And some I will miss very much. We are the Senior Survivors, We are the class of ’89. We are kicking back and loving it. Yeah, you can say we are doing fine! We are the senior survivors, The ones who stand before you today. We are the class of ’89 - That I am proud to say.
