TOUCH OF CLASS ’86 TOUCH OF CLASS - 1986 TRI • COUNTY REGIONAL VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL FRANKLIN, MASSACHUSETTS FACULTY • 3; SENIORS • 17; GRADUATION • 57; SHOPS • 61; SPORTS • 81; LOWERCLASSMEN • 91; ACTIVITIES • 103; SPONSORS • 109 Tribute to a Friend He will live in the hearts of the friends he made and be known always For the Foundation he laid. Because goodness and fair¬ ness never die- they go shining on like sun in the sky, Just as Honor and Truth endure forever, Death is powerless to destroy or to sever . . . So his gallant soul has taken flight into a land where there is no night, He is not dead, he has only gone on, to a brighter, more wonderful dawn. The Memory of “86” Chris Cook was our friend and classmate. He was a very quiet person but as a student, he was one of the best. As we graduate, we will be thinking of him always. We will all miss you, Chris. -Lori Lucas In the memory of Bill Wright, we dedicate this poem. In the month of July, there happened a very sad day, because from this Earth, a dear friend was taken away. How were we to know that this would happen to you because we left you last year in school saying “See you soon.” When we heard the news, it broke our hearts, because our friendship with you was one that wouldn’t part. The angels came in your dreams and took you away. So, dear departed friend, we take a moment of silence to send our prayers to you to stay. -Ron da D’ Espinosa t f t l I I i FAEULPFY Kenneth F. JR Business Manager Dear Seniors, For twelve years most of you have grown up with a pattern of life seemingly fixed and secure. At this time you are enjoying, quite properly, the sense of achievement which comes from reaching a goal long sought. During those twelve years you have developed from very young children into men and women ready for the responsibilities of adulthood. Now you will face up to those responsibilities. In so doing you will find life to be an ever-varying and exciting mixture of success and failure. Fortified with the optimism of youth, and the education you have obtained, you have every right to be hopeful and confident. In that hope and in that confidence lies your best chance for personal success and satisfaction. There will be those who will test you, will try to draw you away from the good life through cynicism and pessimism. But if you keep your ideals high, if you are not content with the second rate, if you continue your ambition to be the best - you will be. My congratulations and best wishes go with you as well as my sincere appreciation to each of you for having been with us here at Tri-County. Sincerely , Super intendent -Director Mr. Kenneth F. While making excellent use of the “elective” period, 40 seniors and sophomores, and 30 juniors and freshmen, combined their efforts to create the 1986 Touch of Class. Though the staff was extraordinarily large this year, they were a self motivated group, and they commanded the respect of their advisors. Many thanks go to Mrs. Gail Griswold and Mrs. Deanna Martell, who gave so much time, effort and assistance to the cause, helping to make the 1986 yearbook a true Touch of Class . .
