m % Wk v O'r O vn? fV° 6 Al 11 ftl ?i In Memoriam Peter Walsh Peter Walsh was our friend and classmate. He was one of those people with such a zest for living, you could see it in his walk and easy smile. We were devastated by his . untimely death, but we have . learned from it as well. His death has made us realize the preciousness of our own lives and those of whom we love. It has shown us, the Class of 1985, that we have a genuine gift — the gift of our futures. We miss you, Peter. Mr. Custy's Message To the Class of 1985: Graduation is oftentimes referred to as a time of excitement. It is exciting because, for the first time, you alone will be planning your schooling; others will continue with current employment; and others will seek new employment or possibly enter the military. These are exciting decisions to make and they are exciting because they are so important to you. You should now realize that your options are directly related to the skills that you have learned and you will soon realize that you must continue to learn new skills, whether they be academic, occupational or social, if the excitement is to continue. The only difference is that, in the future, you make those decisions and set the pace that best meets your needs. So, my message to you is that, if you accept the concept that learning never ends, your new skills will always provide the excitement felt with each new success. Congratulations! Individually, Co-Captains Craig Jordan and Mike Houlihan were both named to the selective Mayflower League All-Star League Team. Their front running style was ably supported by Steve Nolin, Farley Rezendes and Bob Me Cormick, who were all consistent point scorers. Dave Yurek was awarded the most improved, Scott Fitzgerald was chosen as the most valuable player, and Rob Backoff was picked as most dedicated. The team will always remember that win against Holbrook! 79 Football Left to Right: Back: Coach Halstead, Coach Hitchborn, Coach McDonough, Athletic Trainer J. Genoa. Middle Row: G. Harvey, M. Basketball Back: Coach McKinney, Beth Carlstrom, Nisa Erikson, Terry Hurd, Chris Killoy. Front: Patty Branco, Sue lerardo, Erin Erickson, Ellen Ash, LuAnn Cormier, Carol Ann Gleason. The Tri-County Girls Basketball Team finished the season without an impressive win-loss record but still had a productive season. The effort and determination of the team carried them throughout the season despite insurmountable odds. It would have been easy for many to let down and not give one hundred percent, but that never happened. Individually, four seniors led our team. Center, Beth Carlstrom, Erin Erickson, Ellen Ash, and league all-star, LuAnn Cormier. A hopeful sign for the future was the formation of a junior varsity team. With playing experience this group may grow into a talented varsity team, as juniors become seniors. 84 Junior Varsity - Back: Christine Alberto, Maureen Molloy, Cindy Forrest, Kris Kenny Chris Killoy, Terry Hurd, LeeAnn Hasenfus, Pam Kachinsky, Lisa Stott, Coach Kenneth Dow.
