IN THE BEGINNING . . . High upon a throne of rocks and trees, there was a dream. This dream was transformed into a beautiful, unique build¬ ing. In time, students came and made this ‘building' a school. It's name became Tri-County Regional Vocational Tech¬ nical School. The school itself is a genesis; a beginning of many things and opportunities. Friendships, disagreements and a new media in learning were some of these. It mixed together potential friends from all over Mass. It brought about conflicts; some were solved — others weren't. Many disputes came about, but were soon dissolved. In the beginning, considering all else that it had, Tri-County offered variety to it’s students in many varied forms. In¬ cluded in this ‘ variety ' was something that was always there, but often overlooked . . . the contribution from the students. It gave them some say in what went on — a voice which would be heard in many matters. At Tri-County, everything was new and people were constantly learning with ‘ hands-on ' trial and error. A trial that did succeed was sports. Sports and new athletes grew, rampantly. Shops grew and when supplies finally came in, they were all underway. Many groups and activities were organized and progress was made. All this served as our starting point. With each new day at a close, we inched further into the future. No-one will know the real beginning as we do. Those First years of triumph were the foundation of Tri-County . . . but yes, we're movin’ on. % % WE’RE Elaine Iagatta % 3
