The FSA chapter is only two years old, but its service in promoting the secretarial profession has been projected into every community in Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. The purpose of the FSA is to bring to the student a better understanding of the business world through association with experienced secretaries, to stimulate interest in the secretarial profession, to encourage an appreciation of the importance of basic skills, including English and grammar, to develop a recognition of the importance of desirable work habits, attitudes, and responsibilities, and, to encourage students to aspire to a high level of com- petence through a continuing program of education af- ter graduation. 131
