John, you can't count that time for listening and reading. Studying comes first to some. Lecture notes, listening hours, outside reading, term papers, and examinations are the devices used to sharpen the minds of the scholars who gather knowl- edge from the shelves of the library, the heads of the professors, and the world around them. Opportunitzley to Broaden Horizom Many opportunities to learn more about special fields of interest come to Trevecca students each year. Among the outstanding events this year was the Music Con- ference which gave instruction in every area of religious music. The Missionary Conference offered private counseling for prospective missionaries as well as exhibits, leetures, and messages from the different fields. The Nlinisterial Association visited Kansas City to tour our General Headquarters and see the Seminary.
