In 17 ' )] Trevecka College was removed to Ches- hunt. Then in 1904 the college was moved to Cam- bridge. England, where it is located today as Ches- hunt College. The dream of Christian education knew no con- tinental bounds. In 1901 Rev. J. 0. McClurkan founded the Missionan and Bible Training School in Nashville. Tennessee. Rev. McClurkan American- ized Trevecka into Trevecca when he adopted this name for the Bible training school as it reached a collegiate level. Rev. McClurkan wished to reflect in the Bible institute s new name the purpose of the old Trevecka. the training of Christian workers. The college has had some triumphant, some trou- ble-filled years, but by God ' s grace and devoted leadership Rev. McClurkan ' s purpose has been achieved. The college has trained thousands of young men and women for Christian service. Several campuses housed the college through the years. 1901-1935. At that time the campus on Mur- freesboro Road was purchased and steady progress has been made. The college in 1935 received the name it now bears. Trevecca Nazarene College. 1935 1932
