Knowledge Is Power DR. AND MRS. MACKEY Man ' s knowledge of physical laws has resulted in harnessing and using water, steam, electric, and atomic power. Man ' s knowledge of the laws of health has resulted in the control of many dis- eases which has added years to the average life span. Man ' s knowledge of human relations has re- sulted in the power to increase the efficiency of educational methods and to broaden political and religious influences in the world. The power resulting from knowledge of law may be for good or for evil. The same power of an automobile that can take a doctor to save a life may drive the auto- mobile into a telephone post and take a life. A knowledge of spiritual laws, both good and evil, results in spiritual power as definitely as the knowledge of physical and social laws results in physical and social power. The educational world, no doubt, is majoring in acquiring knowledge of a physi- cal world and in producing physical power. The great need for knowledge is in the spiritual world. Trevecca College is among the few institutions that the world is depending upon to acquire the knowledge and produce the spiritual power which is the major limiting factor in supplying the world ' s greatest need. Our Buildings E Administration Building McClurkan Year by year, Trevecca moves ever nearer to the two-fold goal — once almost an idle dream — a four-year college and a million dollar campus. In this mid-century year, there leave these halls near fifty graduates with the degree Bachelor of Arts. We are a four-year college. The other half of the story: College Hill is topped by buildings valued in the second half of that million dollars.
