Completed boot camp at RTC, Great Lakes. Completed Engineman A at NTC, Great Lakes. Severed the following sea tours: USS KITTIWAKE CASR 135 in Norfolk, Virginia, USS PIEDMONT CAD 175 in Norfolk, Virginia, USS SIMON LAKE CAS 335 in Kings Bay, Georgia, USS Yellowstone CAD 415 in Norfolk, Virginia, USS EISENHOWER CCVN 695 in Norfolk, Virginia, USS GRASP CARS 515 in Little Creek, Virginia as the Main Propulsion Assistant and Senior Enlisted Advisor. His shore tours include: Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, US Navy Brig at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, Mobile Inshore and Undersea Warfare Unit CMIUW 2075 in Jacksonville, Florida, Naval Computers and Telecommunications Area Master Station, Norfolk, Virginia, and Fleet Technical Support Center, Norfolk, Virginia as HMSLE Depart- ment LCPO and Senior Diesel Inspector. He has completed the following educa- tion, qualifications, and certifications on ac- tive duty: Florida High School Diploma and Bachelors of Science Degree in Education spe- cializingin curriculum development, Engineer- ing 'Officer Of the Watch, Officer Of the Deck underway, and Diesel Engine Inspector Certi- fication Course. Completed the Senior Enlisted Academy class of 100, before reporting as the Command Master Chief onboard the USS TRENTON CLPD 145. His son completed has completed his Engineering Degree. His daughter is on ac- tive duty in the Navy as a FC3. He was awarded two Navy Commendation Medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, six Good Conduct Medals, and three Sea Service Ribbons. ll

Master Chief Larry Farmer was born 31 July 1955 in Patuxent River, MD. He joined the Navy on 15 August 1973 and completed Recruit Training in Orlando, FL. Prior to reporting to the Fleet in February 1974 for his first tour, he completed Operations Specialist AU School at Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. His duty assignments include: USS OUELLET CFF 10775, USS CORAL SEA CCV 435, USS WHIPPLE KFF 10625, Fleet Combat Training Center, Atlantic, Virginia Beach, VA, USS CORAL SEA CCV 435, Naval Military Personnel Command, Washington, DC, USS SEATTLE CAOE 35, USNS SPICA CT-AFS 95, Naval Telecommunications Station, Pensacola, FL, Chief of Naval Education and Training, Pensacola, FL, Military Sealift Command Western Pacific, Guam, and USS NIMITZ CCVN 685. After graduating from, the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, at Newport, RI, Class 89 Green, he reported to USS TRENTON CLPD 145 as the Command Master Chief. Master Chief Farmer detached USS TRENTON in April 2002 and reported to his next assignment, Personnel Support Activ- ity, Norfolk, VA. as the Command Master Chief. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Com- mendation Medal with two Gold Stars, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two Gold Stars, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, and various unit campaign and service medals. 10 CMDMC CSW5 LARRY FARMER Command Master Chief Y l
