Master Chief Larry Farmer was born 31 July 1955 in Patuxent River, MD. He joined the Navy on 15 August 1973 and completed Recruit Training in Orlando, FL. Prior to reporting to the Fleet in February 1974 for his first tour, he completed Operations Specialist AU School at Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. His duty assignments include: USS OUELLET CFF 10775, USS CORAL SEA CCV 435, USS WHIPPLE KFF 10625, Fleet Combat Training Center, Atlantic, Virginia Beach, VA, USS CORAL SEA CCV 435, Naval Military Personnel Command, Washington, DC, USS SEATTLE CAOE 35, USNS SPICA CT-AFS 95, Naval Telecommunications Station, Pensacola, FL, Chief of Naval Education and Training, Pensacola, FL, Military Sealift Command Western Pacific, Guam, and USS NIMITZ CCVN 685. After graduating from, the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, at Newport, RI, Class 89 Green, he reported to USS TRENTON CLPD 145 as the Command Master Chief. Master Chief Farmer detached USS TRENTON in April 2002 and reported to his next assignment, Personnel Support Activ- ity, Norfolk, VA. as the Command Master Chief.
