2 LCDR CURTIS L. BROWN Executive Officer CCICE Lieutenant Commander Brown was born in Newport News, Vir- ginia. He graduated from Hampton High School in Hampton, Virginia, and enlisted in the Navy in 1983. Upon completion ofthe Naval Academy Preparatory School he received an appoint- ment to the United States Naval Academy where he graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. In June 1989 he reported for duty in USS MILWAUKEE CAOR 25 stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. His initial three year division officer assignment included duties as Communications Officer, Auxiliaries Officer and Electronics Material Officer. During his tour, USS MILWAUKEE completed two Mediterranean deploy- ments and two Counter Drug Operations. While serving in USS MILWAUKEE, Lieutenant Commander Brown earned his Sur- face Warfare Officer qualification. Following his first sea tour, Lieutenant Commander Brown reported for duty in USS BIDDLE CCG 345 as Damage Control Assistant where he earned his Engi- neering Officer ofthe Watch qualification. Following the decom- missioning of BIDDLE in November 1993, Lieutenant Com- mander Brown reported to Readiness Support Group, Norfolk as the Contracts Officer. After completing department head training, Lieutenant Com- mander Brown reported to USS PENSACOLA CLSD 383 as Engi- neer Officer from September 1996 to June 1998. During his tour, USS PENSACOLA completed a deployment to the Mediterra- nean as a part of the NASSAU Amphibious Ready Group CARGJ taking part in the NEO in Albania. Lieutenant Commander Brown then transferred to the AMPHIBIOUS SQUADRON ELEVEN CPHIBRON 11D in Sasebo, Japan as the Material!Logistics Of- ficer. During his tour he participated in no-notice deployments to the Arabian Gulf as part of Operation Desert Fox and the Timor Sea for humanitarian assistance to East Timor. He was assigned to Surface Warfare Officer School Command CSWOSCOLCOMD from March 2000 to February 2002 as the Di- vision Head for Boiler WaterfFeedwater in the Engineering De- partment. During his tour as an instructor, he qualified Master Training Specialist. Reported to USS TRENTON CLPD 145 as Executive Officer in May 2002. Lieutenant Commander Brown's awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal Cfive awardsj, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal Ctwo awardsl, and various unit, campaign and service medals. Lieutenant Commander Brown is married to the former Tonya Williams of Newport News, Virginia. They reside in Chesapeake, Virginia with their two children: Ariana and Curtis Jr. 9

He graduated from Benedictine High School in Richmond, Virginia, and enlisted in the Navy in 1983. Upon completion of the Naval Academy Preparatory School he received an appointment to the United States Naval Academy where he graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Following division officer training in Coronado California he reported for duty in USS WHIPPLE CFF 10625 stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. His initial three year division officer assignment included duties as Electrical!Auxiliaries Officer, Damage Control Assistant, and Combat Information Center Officer. During his tour, USS WHIPPLE completed two deployments, one Western Pacific and a second to the Persian Gulf in support of Desert Storm. While serving in USS VVHIPPLE, Lieutenant Commander Ott earned his Surface Warfare Officer and Engineering Officer of the Watch qualifications. Following his first sea tour, Lieutenant Commander Ott attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. There he earned a Masters of Science in Information Technology Management graduating in September of 1994. After completing department head training, Lieutenant Com- mander Ott reported to USS LA MOURE COUNTY CLST 11945 as Engineering Officer. During his tour, LA MOURE COUNTY completed a deployment to South America CUNITAS 37 -93. After selection for command as a Lieutenant, he reported to Surface Warfare Officer School for the Prospective Commanding Officer Course. Lieutenant Commander Ott took command of the USS SHAMAL CPC13D in October 1997. SHAMAL made a number of deployments in support of Navy Special Warfare and US Army Special Forces and a highly successful six- month deployment to Southern Command in support of National and Theater counter-narcotics objectives. Upon his relief in June of 1999, Lieutenant Commander Ott was selected to attend the Joint Services and Command Staff College CJSCSCD in the United Kingdom. He completed his studies overseas in August of 2000 with a Master of Arts Degree in Defense Studies from King's College, London, England. He was most recently assigned to USS TREN- TON as Executive Officer. Lieutenant Commander Ott awards include the Meritori- ous Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal Ctwo awardsb, the Navy and Marine Corps Achieve- ment Medal Ctwo awardsl, and various unit, campaign and service medals. 8 LCDR MICHEAL F. Master Chief Larry Farmer was born 31 July 1955 in Patuxent River, MD. He joined the Navy on 15 August 1973 and completed Recruit Training in Orlando, FL. Prior to reporting to the Fleet in February 1974 for his first tour, he completed Operations Specialist AU School at Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. His duty assignments include: USS OUELLET CFF 10775, USS CORAL SEA CCV 435, USS WHIPPLE KFF 10625, Fleet Combat Training Center, Atlantic, Virginia Beach, VA, USS CORAL SEA CCV 435, Naval Military Personnel Command, Washington, DC, USS SEATTLE CAOE 35, USNS SPICA CT-AFS 95, Naval Telecommunications Station, Pensacola, FL, Chief of Naval Education and Training, Pensacola, FL, Military Sealift Command Western Pacific, Guam, and USS NIMITZ CCVN 685. After graduating from, the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, at Newport, RI, Class 89 Green, he reported to USS TRENTON CLPD 145 as the Command Master Chief. Master Chief Farmer detached USS TRENTON in April 2002 and reported to his next assignment, Personnel Support Activ- ity, Norfolk, VA. as the Command Master Chief.
