Charged with everything electrical from operating and maintaining the ship's large turbogenerators, to power for cooking, lighting and other electrical equipment, the Electrician' Mates QEM'sJ do it all. The Interior Communications Electricians CIC'sJ as- sure the shipboard announcing system, intercom system, telephone system and many navigation and monitoring systems are doing the job.
