Providing the link between the two is the Air Department. Each man wearing his trademark colored jersey to indicate his role in the haz- ardous yetintricate evolution of flight operations. , ' The Yellow Shirts, the Landing Signalmen Enlistedqare re- sponsible forthe safe movement of all aircraft and their launch and recovery. Running chocks and chains for the Yellow Shirts are the Blue Shirts, the Aircraft Handlers. The Purple Shirts are worn by the Aviation Fuels 'crew who play a pivitol role in keeping aircraft deck time 'to a minimum. Overseeing all op- erations are the Red Shirts, the Crash Crew. Specially trained to deal with every-type of flight or hanger emergency. Finally, the Green Shirts, worn by the Aviation Equipment men, are responsible for all of the flight deck equipment maintenance. From Primary Flight Control to the Flight Deck and the IP-5 Pump Room, the men of the TRENTON Aviation Department are proud to call themselves Airdales . . mi?
