Our team is r-e-d hot - their team is a- 1-1 shot recalls a familiar sound which fairly shook the walls of the Trenton gym on the night of December 9th, 1949 when both the Tigers and the Tigerettes snatched their first basketball game of the season from the Bell cagers. The Tigerettes, under the able coaching- of Miss Ashley, won laurels for them- selves throughout the entire season, winning eleven games and losing only three. Branford, however proved to be the stumbling block oi the season which prevented their participation in the Suwannee Tournament. The Tigers were still going strong when this account went to print. We hope the unwritten record of their showing in the District Tournament will compare favor- ably to their tournament records in the past.
