LJc+'fcTmC fl The tigers began the season by beating Lake Butler 7-0 under the new lights of Tiger Field . This proved to be insufficient warm-up for the P. K. Younge game and our boys lost a hard fought Z7-12 decision. The third game rolled around with Branford on our hands to whom the tigers gave a 36-6 trimming. This was the second conference win for the tigers and was a hard fought battle. The same scrappy spirit prevailed in the High Springs game. This was an important game in holding a good season's record. The tiger squad played a bang up ball game to defeat the High Springs Sandspurs by a margin of 19-7. The winning of this game raised the hopes for the Newberry game for which our boys fought all the way to lose an unwelcome decision of 19-6. Next in line for the tigers were the unbeaten Fernandina eleven. Though fighting against a powerful team they never gave in but left still in high spirits carrying a 47-13 defeat. This proved to be quite a practice game before getting ready for the Bunnell Bulldogs. The tigers wanting to even the series with the bulldogs joyously walked off the field at the big end of a 24-6 score. The final game rolled around with Crescent City on the list.
