Chronology SEPTEMBER New students and old, reluctantly left their summer freedom and the beautiful weather to begin studies anew at T. H. S. All the fellows who had been training in football since the last week in August were proudly showing off their bruises and hurts. The new cheerleaders were chosen to join the four other girls and lead the student body in cheering our teams to victory. We warmly wel- come the new members of the faculty Miss Horn- shaw, Miss Needham, Miss Lindsey, and Mr. Mac- Laughlin. OCTOBER Started the month off right with freshman initiation party. fWe lose more Frosh that wayJ Senior class elected Huntly Boyd for President. Teensters got underway with their Hallowe'en party, deco- rations, games and all. We had the renowned MONGUAGON ORCHESTRA here once again which starred thattalented young singer, Miss Betty Nagel. NOVEMBER Three cheers for Mr. Malinowskil His X-Country team took first in State. The annual Sadie Hawkins Dance was held. Climaxing the termina- tion of Cross Country and football was the annual fall sports dance and the crowning of Peg Couslneau as queen. Not much studying was done while the seniors were smiling pretty for the cameras and were rushing around filling their senior memory books with autographs. Event of the month was the junior play 'The Night of January 16th . Basketbm got under way. DECEMBER Such warm weather as we had inspired no one to work. We dreamed of a 'White Christmas' to no avail. Miss Needham proved her abilities as a musical director with the annual concert. Hur- rah! The Teenster snack bar was finally completed. It's perfect. Trojan cagers added another trophy to their collection by winning the Christmas to1u'na- ment held at Redford Union. 62
