Boys in the wood shop classes make practical pieces of furniture for the home, and are of special benefit to the school in construct- ing numerous properties for student pro- ductions. The print shop provides experi- ences to its students through a detailed program that is practical as well as theo- retical. The students are prepared for an apprenticeship in the printing business. Electricity may be studied in the elec- Shop and Fine Art Departments trical shops where many useful electrical appliances are made. including the con- structions of radio. Future mechanics select either the auto or machine shops where all types of machines are carefully studied. A fine arts course offers instruc- tion, appreciation in the basic principles of stagecraft, designing and drawing. XVork upon the schools dramatic pro- ductions provides many of the fine-arts students with opportunities to put their abilities into real creative work. For advanced students in mechanical draw- ing and draughting there is a special course available.
