Sophomores are given a series of lectures on the drama, the short story, the novel. verse, and prose nonftiction. Those sopho- mores who receive honor marks in ling- lish in their ninth grade are eligible for special courses in creative writing. juniors showing ability in creative writing may enter Spermlor I or the English Department l,flllVc'fIft' classes. Drama classes are open to those wishing to act, and speech classes, to those having oratorical ability. junior business students select business corre- spondence while the other students take the regular English course, l llia. Senior honor students are eligible for the Press and liolmxlzvlfz classes and for Spvrfnfor' II and Drama ll. College Board classes aid those preparing for col- lege entrance examinations.
