Founder and Director of Saint Anthony High School SISTER M. JOHN JOSEPH, O.S.F. Principal of Saint Anthony High School In sanctitate et doctrinaw - in holiness and learning - this is the motto of Saint Anthony's. It expresses concisely the pLu'pose of the Catholic school: to educate the child in both spiritual and intellectual spheres. The awesome task of seeing to the fulfillment of this responsibility falls to our administrators. Bishop Ahr and Monsignor Frain, as diocesan leaders, have done much to broaden and improve the scope and quality of Catholic education. The zeal of our own Monsignor McCorristin has be- come legendary. Devoted entirely to the devel- opment of the whole manj, he is the reason for the very existence of Saint Anthony's. Largely re- sponsible for the schoolls continued success is our principal, Sister John Joseph, O.S.F. Through Sister's efforts Saint Anthonyls has gained a repu- tation for scholarship and character development. No words could possibly express the depth of our gratitude to these who have given of them- selves to us. The best we can hope to do is to perpetuate their ideals through imitation.

WILLIAM DONLEN To take a child and open his eyes to God, to mold his unformed character into that of a Christian with gentle but firm hands, to de- velop his powers of judgment reasoning, and imagination - these are the formidable chal- lenges of the teacher. A teacher makes an in- delible impression on his students. He may well influence the course of a student's life. The faculty at Saint Anthonyis serve as worthy symbols of inspiration to us. We can never forget the selfless devotion and concern shown us by the Sisters of Saint Francis, the priests of Saint Anthony's Parish, and the many lay teachers Whom we have met over the last four years, To all, we give our sincerest thanks for their efforts in our behalf.
