FRESHIVIEN DISCOVER WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE AND FRIENDSHIP HERE Ever since its inception in the fall of 1962, St. Anthony High has endeavored to offer a complete curriculum to all students regardless of their professional plans. Academically, the school boasts a complete college pre- paratory course. Mathematics ranging from elementary alge- bra to math analysis and sciences from physical science to physics form a basis for future accomplishment. In the busi- ness field students are offered typing, office practice, stenogra- phy, and bookkeeping. There is also a wide variety in lan- guages. Four years of study are available in French, Spanish, and Latin, while two years of German is maximum. Courses in art and mechanical drawing also are available. Four years of English and two of United States History as well as physical education and health are required for graduation. This past year a few new courses have been initiated. Driver education is now offered to all seniors and qualified juniors who wish to sharpen their driving skills. Also, several seniors now leave regular classroom routine for employment in the afternoon as part of the newly-formed Co-operative Work Program. In January, a four-year speed reading course was inaug- urated for all freshman English classes. S.A. is the first school in the greater Trenton area to use this closed-circuit television course.
