CLASS PROPHECY Ten long years haxe passed s1nce the class of 57 left Tremont Hlgh and Mr Rauch class advlsor who has read so much about the capltal of MEXICO arr1ves at the alrport to purchase a t1cket to that c1ty Imaglne hls surpr1se to Hnd Charles W1SCOUHt the pll0t of h1s fllght Before boardmg the plane Mr Rauch was surpr1sed to see the great business executlve Robert Breldlgan and h1s pr1vate secretary Patrlcla Zerbe who were makmg reservat1ons for a skung tr1p to the snow capped mountains of Popocatepetl On the land1ng strlp he saw Navy men Robert K1mmel Frank Miller and Claxr Relner who were takmg part 1n Navy maneuvers They were up to thelr old tucks g1v1ng sly glances at Joan 7el1nsky a pretty Wave who was rushmg as usual to catch her plane As Mr Rauch stepped aboard the plane he was dellghted to see Joan Ochs a1rl1ne hostess She proved to be very eiiiclent but one could detect a sllght nervous tenslon Later he learned th1S was her first adventure When the plane finally arrlved at MEXICO Clty reporter Mary Conway was there to greet lmportant persons who mlght be leavlng the plane To her amazement she spled Mr Rauch and thereafter devoted her t1me solely to h1m Mr Rauch eventually left for the Buena Vista Hotel As he entered the street car he was qulte pleased to see Larry Putsax age After a few moments chat he learned that Larry was now an aeronautxcal englneer Wlth rather extenslve dutles As he entered the hotel he walked to the desk where he was presented to the recep t1on1st Notlng a fam1l1ar Pennsylx ama twang 1n her greetlng of Buenos D138 he observed her more closely and reallzed It was none oth er than Joanne Cavanaugh Her welcome was glven 1n true Spanlsh style Qulte contrary to Joanne s meek nature she suddenly grabbed hls arm and llterally pulled h1m outslde to the patlo where he saw two young matrons Pearl Faust and Barbara Renmnger surrounded by several romplng k1dd1es They were now housewlves and fond mothers and had selected th1s famous resort as a refuge for much needed relaxatlon Determlned to secure the fullest benefit from h1s tour M1 Rauch was glad to accept an 1I'1Xlt3.tlOH from Larry to wltness the famous MSXICHH Hat Dance Haxmg been qulte an 21 dent enthus1ast of Pennsylx ama Square Dancmf, he felt xery confident that he could manage thlS apparently slmple step Alas and alack' Poor Mr Rauch landed ln a heap wlth a groan Hls helpful compan1on 3SSlSted in rushlng hlm to the nearest hOSp1t3l for x ray study The technlclan was none other than Bruce McHenry In the rush and 6XClt8 ment he was agaln surprlsed to learn that the three nurses who soothed hls nerx es were Patllcla Bonawltr Gall M1ller and Yxonne Wert! L LABS PROPHELY fLont1nuedJ Whlle sightseeing on the Paseo de la Reforma one dag, N11 Rauch met Nlarlnes Eugene Mease and Herman Clemens admlrlng the statue of the Empress Carlotta Aftel exchanging greetings he learned that the boys had actually trax eled around the world tVS1Ce The next das he went to the Axenlda JLIHIQ7 where Gall Zimmerman designs creations for the springtime festival Hel leputatlon IS mounting., steadily and lt IS pre dlcted she w lll soon reach the top Nearby ln the famous DuBarry Salon Nlr Rauch purchased some Aquamarine per fume for hls w lfe flom the beautlclans Janet Rl-Elillel and Catherine Bonchalk whose trlm lppearances w ere exldence enough of thelr success The following day he toured a construction company Here he learned that John some blueprints Bex erly Huey and Grace Tobias were busy at thelr Jobs as clerk typlsts Eleanor Klmmel was ln the same department as bookkeeper balancing the books The group had a grand tlme remlnlsclng After three glorious weeks ln Mexico Clty Mr Rauch boarded the plane for home On the way the plane stopped at San Antonio AFB for refueling Here he met engineer Jack Rennlnger and his prlxate secretary Calolyn Schelbley as well as a good friend M Sgt Arthul Selger lunchlng ln the cafeteria The trlo were delighted to greet thelr fol mel teacher The plane stopped once mole at Washington D C where F B I workers Glorll Lengle Thelma Mack Helen Chapman and Calol Wolf entered The girls XVC18 making a trlp home before thelr new assignment Vlenna Once again the plane left for Harrisburg and w ho should be fellow passengers but George Marx and Jack Graeff trade school lnstructols leturnlng home fl om thelr xacatlon The boys were so eagel to learn all the news of Tremont High and then classmates that before they knew lt they had reached thelr destination ,VII Rauch reported haxlng a wonderful tlme xlsltlng NIQXICO and most of all he w as xerg pleased to learn that all members of the class had been successful GRACF TOBIAS and BEVFRLY HUEY A K . . r 1 1 r Y, A 1.
