CL ASS HISTORX In September of 1902 th1rtx-one students enteled the halls of Tremont H1gh under the gLl1d3.l1C6 of NI1ss Emlly L1nn Th1s was the begmnmg of a long Joulney tow ard the 1oad of success In the fall of 1903 the add1t1on of fue new students gate us a total of th1rty SIX We ente1ed elghth g1ade unde1 the helpful leadershlp of Mrs Elmer Hoffman Flnally 1n the yea1 1904 we leached ou1 last teal of Junlor H1gh Wlth the add1t1on of n1ne students from New town and the four students from Paroch1al School we had a grand total of forty two Under the guldance of M1ss Lash everyone was eagerly aw altlflg then hrst prom Due to the loss of sex eral students w1th other plans the total who entered the Sophomo1e Class was 1educed to thlrty three Th1s year we were gn en ox er to the pat1ent guldance of M1 James Clouser The class sold turkey chances letters and held dan es to earn money for our Jun1or year Our class act1v1t1es lncluded a day spent at Mr Clousers farm learn1ng about farm l1fe'7 'P We ran through the corn fields operated the tractor and tow ard evemng we looked for deer We enjoyed a dogg1e roast and square danced 1n the barn The mam 1dea of th1s tr1p was gettmg to know our classmates better' The last day of school Mr Clouser and h1s famlly took the class to Hershey Park In our Jun1or yea1 under the superx 1s1on of M1ss Jeanne W1ll1ams and Mrs Dora Kohr we were xery successful By sellmg sweat sh1rts doughnuts Jewelry and holdmg bake sales and dances we earned money for our blggest thr1ll of the yea1 the Jun1or Prom The theme was A Spanlsh Garden Th1S was the hrst prom to wh1ch outs1de guests were 1HV1t6d Judgmg from the many comments of the guests we felt that our efforts of transformlng the aud1tor1um 1nto a ty p1cal Spamsh atmosphere were most certamly not 1n 1 a1n The a1r1x '11 of Olll class rmgs duung thlQ year proved to be a memo1able occas1on to wh1ch we had been looklng forward w1th great longmg 1957 at last' Ou1 class ranks V619 boosted by ten students from Fra1ley Tow nsh1p glX1l'1g us a total of thu ty sex en Our act1V1t1es started w1th the sellmg of magaz1nes w h1ch w IS a huge success By sellmg cards candy stat1onery and holdmg bake sales and dances we earned money fO1 our long awalted class tllp-VV21Sl'11I'lg'tOl1 D C In Nox embe1 our class enyoyed a tour of New York C1113 and ln JEIHLIEIIX '1 tllp to the Ffum Show Then graduatlon the end of our fh st goal We wlsh to thank the pr1nc1pal and teache1s who hate gu1ded us through the past yeals We may not hate been the best students they hate had but we hope that we w ere not the worst May the future hold brlght th1ngs 1n St0l9 for Us but 1f we must face hard real1t1es 1n our Journey folward we hope It wlll be w1th the coulage and help we lsaxe galned 1n Olll school l1fe 1 1 1 Y 4 K , Y 1 1 1 . . ,.'YYY .
