Class Hustory June 1955 Dear Dlary Gee we were scared as the thtrty stx of us entered the spankmg new halls of T C H.S as bewlldered Freshmen' Our f1rst OfflCla1 act as Freshmen was to elect our class offlcers and Student Counc1l representatives We elected Gene Becker Pres1dent Bryan Freeman V1ce Pres1dent Mary Ray Roosa Secretary and Judy Bllss Treasurer Phxl Baer and Kathy Beutel wereelected to represent our class 1n the Councll Mr Young served as our sponsor A party was held ln our honor at the old gym ln October by the Sophomores June 1956 Dear Dlary It was wonderful th1s year not bemg green' Freshmen. Eugene Crum1ne Buck Lathrom Josle Stone and Joyce Ropp left our mldst but we gamed Roy Flynn and Duane Howard We met 1n the room of our sponsor Mrs Blazer and elected our Councll representat1ves Mary Ray Roosa and Ph1l Baer Jeanne Maurer was elected Pres1dent Ne1l Connell Vxce Pres1dent Ruth Strawbndge Secretary and John Shanklln Treas urer The hlghlxght of the year was the class party held at Hazelman s t1mber and creek June 1957 Dear Dxary At last we re upper classmen! Thxrty four of us entered as J unlors havlng lost Ruth Strawbrldge but ga1n1ng Rosemary Schurter We chose Mr Norwood as our sponsor and to asslst hxm we elected Bryan Freeman Pres1dent Pete Fawer V1ce Pres1dent Sue Gerstner Secretary and Gene Becker Treasurer Phll Baer Ne11 Connell and Jeanne Maurer were selected to represent the J umors ln the Student Counc1L Durmg our Juruor year we lost Gene Becker Bob Berchtold Roy Flynn Dale Kresm and Sharon Renner Th1S left our class w1th only twenty nme members In March we presented a two cast play entltled Oh Kay after wh1ch the class enjoyed a meal at the Plonecr Club The blggest hlghhght of our htgh school career up to thls t1me was the J uruor Senlor Prom The gym and cafeterla were very approprlately decorated to the theme of Candyland Bryan Freeman and Sue Gerstner relgned as kmg and queen of the event June 1958 Dear D1ary Our hlgh school career IS through at last' Bryan was agam elected Pres1dent B111 Kxnsey V106 Pres1dent Sue Gerstner Secretary Penny Zlmmerman Treasurer and Kathy Beutel Asslstant Treasurer Plul Baer Ne1l Connell Jeanne Maurer and Rosemary Schurter were elected to represent our class ln the Student Councll. Home commg was the fnrst b1g event of the year and Phtl Baer and .T eanne Maurer were chosen to relgn over the fest1v1t1es More honors came to our class 1n March when Penny Zlm merman was chosen Sprmg Formal Queen and Mary Ray Roosa Carnlval Queen. At the end of the year we Semors were swamped w1th BCIIVIIICS If Mother Only Knew the f1rst student dxrected play ever to be presented ln Tremont was a great success and the whole class celebrated by gomg out to eat.
