THE NINETEE HU Illlllll FIFTY-F0 ll ECHO FIRST ROW: R. Lucas, M. Wildermuth, L. Hild, D. Reid, P. Connell, H. Dill, W. Wells, W. Connell. SECOND ROW: Mr. L. Kisellus CCoachJ, O. Kenney, D. Steiner, W. Wells, E. Birkey, G. Hinman. FRESHMEN NOT PICTURED: M. Frank, R. I-hndt, R. Baer, C. Risinger, P. Noe. Il IIIUATIII - moss CUUNTRY They pound down the stretch - our exhausted cross country boys - fighting on for a victory, knowing'their effort will scarcely be recognized by their classmates. A cross cotmtry runner doesn't receive glory. He doesn't run to make a hit with the crowd, but because he loves it. Competition and the thrill of knowing that his accomplishments are earned on his own are incentives to him. . This year's team won all of their dual meets to extend their consecutive wins to 25 Cthree Senior Editors: KAY KOCH MARILYN BEUTEL years without a lossj. Team balance was the deciding factor in these wins. The team did a fine job in that they competed against city schools as large as ten times the size of Tre- mont. Much credit for this fine record goes to Coach Kisellus for his efforts in training and coaching these boys. The staff considers it a great honor to dedi- cate the 1954 'Echo' to this fine group of fel- lows and wishes to say forthe whole school 'Congratulations, boysl' junior Editors: PATSY SUMMERLOT RACHEL RIGGENBACH TREMONT COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL, TREMONT, ILLINOIS
