Activities this year have been Freshman Watermelon Feed, Hayrack ride and square dance, Freshman initiation, basketball team and Parent-son Banquet. FFA officers received a silver emblem award in the Ritual Contest and Information Contest held at Hoxie. The livestock judging team won the first place trophy at the Trego County Fair. Mem- bers of this team were Duane Bellairs, Ray- mond Hafliger and Donald Naiman. The high individuals at the Ellis County Fair were Glenn Berg, Gary Lofstead, Glen Wentling and Thomas O'Toole. They also won first place. Other contests are the shop at Oberlin, Poultry at Stockton, Crops at Hoxie, Public Speaking at Norton, Livestock and Dairy at Colby and the State Livestock and Farm Me- chanics at Manhattan.
